Recently, the Managing Director of Maxima Franchise Sdn Bhd, Mr S.N. Tai, has been awarded the Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award of Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2008 by ENTERPRISE ASIA, a non-governmental organisation for entrepreneurship.
Deemed to be the most prestigious awards for entrepreneurs in Asia Pacific, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2008 are accorded to outstanding entrepreneurs who have demonstrated a winning combination of vision, passion and commitment to excellence in their entrepreneurial pursuits. Winners will represent Malaysia at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Forum 2009 in Hangzhou, China. The nominees are subjected to stringent pre-qualifying and post nomination audits and inspections. Using a regional benchmark that's second to none, the Official Auditors and Judging Committee took into consideration both quantitative and qualitative criteria. These include a strong weightage for responsible entrepreneurship and the nominee's attitude and culture towards development of human capital.
MAXIMA has been in Malaysia for the 7th year, growing from a production unit of about 3000 square feet to 15,000 square feet. With the humble beginning of its first showroom in Taman Tun, MAXIMA today have six showrooms covering Klang Valley and Ipoh. The original Anti-Jump System, developed by an Australian, has won the International Award of the Australian Design Mark. MAXIMA Wardrobes is the only brand in Malaysia using the award winning Anti-Jump System under license.
MAXIMA Wardrobe has been tested and approved by FRIM who is accredited by FIRA International, England. The test include the strength of top bottom surface, strength of shelf, deflection of shelves, strength of clothes rail supports, deflection of clothe rail, wear & fatigue of sliding doors, strength of runners, wear & fatigue of drawers & runners, displacement of bottom surface of drawers and strength of wall attachment devices.
MAXIMA has also been awarded 'Business Superbrands Malaysia 2006'. This has further affirmed the top brand status in its category. Today, there are many celebrities using Maxima Wardrobes such as Eric Leong - TV host for Deko Bersama Eric, Xandria Ooi - TV host/Columnist, and Amber Chia - International Supermodel.
